BDG Office Lurgan

BDG Group Ltd is Ireland's largest manufacturer of PVCu conservatories, windows and doors.

The company is a household name across Northern Ireland and increased production capacity in the company's factory and headquarters in Lurgan reinforces its market position.

The move to the larger 48,000 sq ft premises at Wenlock Road reflects BDG's growth in sales and production across the board.

Company Structure

There are four operating divisions at BDG:
Retail Division
Focussing on conservatory and window sales.
Commercial Division
Supplying aluminium and PVCu architectural systems and curtain walling.
Trade Division
Supplying conservatories, conservatory roof kits and PVC/Aluminium windows to a dealer network across the UK and Ireland.
Export Division
Concentrating on Asia and the United States.

Company History

Established in 1979, the Lurgan based company is the oldest and, if its record of industry "firsts" is anything to go by, the most progressive company within its sector in Ireland.
2003
BDG achieve BBA approval for manufacture and supply of the Schuco Corona window PVCu product.
2002
BDG achieve BBA approval on the System 21 roofing system with the results proving that the system is probably the best on the market. The roof system withstood wind loads of up to 1.32 knm2, snow loads of up to 1.0 knm2 and achieved a linear thermal transmittance of approx 0.15wmk. For more technical information click here.
2002
A new Conservatory Show Village is constructed incorporating nine conservatory designs displaying a wide range of colours, glazing options, material specifications and many other items associated with the conservatory industry.
2001
Due to continued success across all divisions within BDG the company expands and moves into a new 40000 sq ft premises in July 2001. A special feature within the design of the building is a lantern styled roof enclosing an old courtyard.
1999
First major project installed in New York, USA. A large green powder coated all aluminium freestanding gazebo style structure with a mezzanine floor accessed via a spiral staircase.
1999
Business capacity is extended with a new 14000 sq ft commercial premises to service the demand for aluminium and PVCu windows to the commercial sector within Northern Ireland and Eire.
1998
A Commercial Division is set up within the company to target Aluminium and PVCu commercial related projects. Such projects include the Armagh Planeterium, the Ulster Transport Museum and the Manor House Hotel in Enniskillen.
1998
BDG launch the new System 21 roof system designed to suit the conservatory/commercial markets. The system has been praised for its ease of installation, low maintenance and traditional appearance.
1998
First major project and largest in BDG's history is installed in a theme park in northern Japan.
1988
BDG was first to underpin its total quality ethos by becoming the first company in Northern Ireland, if not the UK, to achieve BS EN ISO 9002:1994 (formerly BS5750 part2) accreditation for the manufacture and installation of PVCu and Aluminium conservatories and PVCu windows and doors.

At the heart of the company's record of success since its foundation is its belief that whilst the provision of top class customer satisfaction is the number one priority at BDG continuous product development is also essential to ensure that only the very best products are supplied by us at the most competitive price.
1986
BDG was first to develop its own CAD system in response to an ever increasing demand for its conservatory and roof system.
1984
BDG was first in Ireland and one of the first companies in the UK to enter the specialist field of design and manufacture of conservatory and glazed structure systems.
1981
BDG was first to be approved for the supply of PVCu windows to the Housing Executive.
